Glass Shower Screens

Glass showerscreens are the easiest to maintain, durable than the alternatives, stylish & modern
Not really. Depending on the type of shower screen & glass price will increase or decrease
Yes. glass shower screens are safe when made from toughened or tempered glass
Like a wind screen in a car glass is designed to break into small, round pieces rather than sharp, jagged shards
Wipe it down with a damp cloth or a glass cleaner. Avoid using abrasive scrubbers or cleaners, which can scratch or damage the glass
Yes. Glass shower screens can be customized for any bathroom design or style. You can choose from various sizes, shapes, and finishes to create a perfect shower screen
Glass shower screens can last for many years with proper care and maintenance. However, the lifespan of your shower screen will depend on factors such as the quality of the glass, the installation method, and the amount of use it receives
It’s always best to get a profesional to measure it. The slope of the wall and the floor is important to consider when you measure. The grout line or the shower base lip will be coming into play as well

Glass Doors

Depending on the mechanism we can catogarise them as sliding, hinged, bi folding or pivoted
A hinged glass door is usually hinged from the wall or from a fixed glass which is acting like a wall
When a glass door is pivoting from the floor and supported by the ceiling, we usually call it a pivot glass door
When the door glass is getting stacked as pile when you open the door, the mechanism is called a bi folding system
When the glass is sliding parallel to each other, and the weight of glass is taken from the top and only guided from the bottom, we call it a glass sliding door

We recommend 10mm toughened safety glass for practicle purposes

Glass Balustrades

A glass wall along an edge of a balcony or stair to minimize the risk of falling
A glass privacy screen is a wall made out of glass to increase privacy by restricting or reducing the visual of a designated area
Depends on the requirement or the use. If you don’t use toghened laminated glass a handrail is a must for safety reasons
Not always. As a rule of thumb you will only require if it’s higher than 5m from ground. Depending on the use and structure the engineers will specify this
If you require to reduce light to an area, then acid edged glass or sandblasted designed glass will work. If you don’t want to reduce light but only distort the image then textured glass is the best.
Mini Post System, Bolt Fix System, Semi Frameless System, Slat Screens System are some of the popular systems in vogue

Glass Signage

It’s a sign board or a banner made out of glass to display information
The most popular is the digitaly printed glass signage. The textured and painted signage is unique
You can either use standoff’s from the wall or paste it direclty to the wall. you can paste it to an MDF board to get a floating look
Ussually 6mm thickness is enough. Sometimes when it’s too long or high, we recommend 10mm glass
It’s toughened safety glass. Hence, it’s not only tough but safe as well
Very practicle approach. It’s the face of a company or a place most often. Presentation is the key to the hearts of your customers

Slumped Glass

Slump is the process of making slump glass or textured glass. The process is highly time consuming and the glass gets cooked in an oven until it gets slightly melted and then the colling will start
Once the slump process is complete the flat glass surfurce will become 3D as per the pattern in the oven. This will be either toughened or not depending on the required product
Textured glass is unique and adds privacy without obstructing the light. It’s perfect to brigten up areas which requires privacy
Only simple designs can be achieved compared with sand blasting designs
One side is very smooth and one side is rough. Depending on the use we must be practical on choosing the side to be smooth
Shower screens, Splashbacks, Privacy balustrades, fixed glass partitions and windows
It has to be at least 6mm if it requires toughening. Higher the thickness higher the weight. Thickness should be decided as per the use of the product it’s used for
Depending on the oven size this will vary. Contact your glazier or call Design Inferno for more information

Wall Mirrors

It’s a glass that reflects the light back. Hence, you will see the surroundings you are in like an image
Take piece of glass and apply siver nitrate paint was the popular method taking over from Tin and Mercury mix application. Most modern mirrors use aluminium because it’s highly reflective compared to other methods
Interior designing is never complete without mirrors. Combined well with colour schemes and space, mirrors will make your area much brighter and spacious. Whether to spice up your entrance or brighten your lounge area wall, mirrors can be designed with variety of sizes and shapes
Depending on what it’s used for it can be custom made to be practical for the purpose. Some types are edge polished mirrors, bevel edged mirrors, vinyl back framed mirrors, mirrors on MDF, toughened mirrors for high trafic areas or splashbacks
Take some pictures of the area and visit our showroom. Either to blend in or stand out we can help you decide
Mirrors are not very expensive. Depending on the style, regulation and the purpose the price will vary
Always use profesional help when possible. Use the correct type of silicon and must look for practical issues before installing for safety and sustanance
When measuring mirrors you must look at the slope of the wall and the bench top or the floor. Depending on the size you might have to check on access issues to the area and have an idea about trasporting & maximum glass sizes

Wardrobe Doors

2,3 or 4 sliding door systems are a necessity to save space rather than having a hinged door system

Glass Pool Fencing

A glass wall along the boundary of a pool, to retrict people coming in to the area designated, for safety requirements
Usually it’s about 1200mm high. It could be higher if a permanent structure is in the vicinity, making it easier for a child to jump over the fence
Usually it’s not a requirement for residential pools unless specified by the approved design
We reccomend 900 mm door for your pool fence. A soft close system is the best way to go
We reccomend at least 12mm glass for your pool fence. Depending on the wind load it could be thicker
Mini Post System is the most popular. Channel fix System could be used in certain settings

Glass Flooring

An engineered floor made out of glass layers
The glass floors are made as per engineering requirements. The thickness or the layers of the glass is decided after a intensive risk analasys. Hence, it’s very safe
Mostly you require a glass floor to give light to a room underneath a floor. There could be many other reasons such as to check the view below or up or just to lighten up as a design for uniqueness
It can be unless you use a slip resistant coating when you order the product
Depends on the design required. Usually for home internal floors, it can be between 30-40mm with a 6mm sacrificial layer on top
A three layer design including a resistant coated sacrificial layer on top, is about 4000 – 5000 AUD including measure, supply & Install
